Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a mid-senior robotics software engineer to design, develop, and maintain autonomous systems from perception to control. This remote, full-time role supports end-to-end robotics workflows including sensor integration, SLAM, navigation, and on-robot validation.

You will build ROS/ROS2 modules in C++ and Python, tune SLAM and localization, and develop motion planning with obstacle avoidance.

Qualifications

• Shipping robotics systems or autonomy features.
• Proficient in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience.
• Experience with SLAM, localization, planning, and sensor fusion.
• Able to debug across software/hardware boundaries using logs and profilers.

Responsibilities

• Develop ROS/ROS2 modules in C++ and Python.
• Tune SLAM, localization, and sensor fusion pipelines.
• Craft motion planning and navigation stacks with obstacle avoidance.
• Integrate perception (computer vision, LiDAR) for scene understanding.
• Create simulation scenarios in Gazebo/Isaac Sim for validation.
• Collaborate with hardware and QA on interfaces and safety.
