Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a Robotics Engineer to design, integrate, and validate production‑grade robotics systems. This remote, full‑time role covers perception, sensor fusion, SLAM, localization, motion planning, and control.

You will validate simulations to real hardware and drive measurable reliability improvements. Responsibilities include ROS/ROS2 development, sensor integration, trajectory generation, and regression testing in Gazebo or similar environments.

Qualifications

  • Mid‑senior experience delivering robotics software in production or advanced prototyping.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ROS/ROS2 nodes, services, and message‑driven pipelines.
  • Integrate and calibrate sensor stacks (camera, LiDAR, IMU, GPS) and maintain synchronized data flows.
  • Implement or improve SLAM/localization/mapping with clear evaluation metrics.
  • Develop motion planning and trajectory generation with safety constraints and real‑time considerations.
  • Create simulation workflows (Gazebo or equivalent) and scenario‑based regression tests.
  • Instrument logging, monitoring, and debugging to reduce field issues and improve reliability.
  • Collaborate on annotation guidelines compliance and labeling QA checks where perception datasets are used.
  • Document interfaces, assumptions, and operational playbooks for deployments.
