Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a Robotics Engineer to join our remote, full-time team building production autonomy for mobile robots. You will ship robotics capabilities from prototype to production across perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control while collaborating across time zones.

You will develop ROS/ROS2 nodes for real robots, implement SLAM and sensor fusion, build Gazebo-based simulations, and support safe deployments through testing and debugging.

Qualifications

• Mid-Senior level with shipping robotics software to physical systems.
• Proficient in C++ and Python with ROS/ROS2 experience.
• Experience in two or more areas among SLAM, sensor fusion, computer vision, motion planning, control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ROS/ROS2 nodes for real robots.
• Implement SLAM, sensor fusion, and perception pipelines.
• Build simulation scenarios (Gazebo) and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Tune motion planning and control loops for latency and reliability.
• Write unit/integration tests and support safe deployments.
• Debug field issues using logs, bag files, and telemetry.
