Rex.zone is hiring a mid-senior Robotics Engineer to support perception, autonomy, and data-driven evaluation workflows from remote locations. You will help shape labeling specifications for cameras, LiDAR, and multimodal sensors, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve model performance through QA audits and human feedback loops.

The role requires strong Python and/or C++, familiarity with ROS/ROS2, and experience with data labeling programs and review workflows.

Qualifications

  • Mid-senior experience in robotics engineering, perception, autonomy, or ML-adjacent operations.
  • Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 concepts and real-world robotics deployment constraints.
  • Experience with data labeling programs, QA evaluation, or structured review workflows.
  • Strong Python and/or C++ for analysis, tooling, or pipeline integration.
  • Ability to write clear guidelines and drive reviewer calibration.

Responsibilities

  • Define robotics data labeling specifications for camera, LiDAR, and multimodal sensor fusion
  • Manage computer vision annotation tasks (2D/3D boxes, segmentation, keypoints) aligned to autonomy requirements
  • Perform QA evaluation, inter-annotator agreement checks, and annotation guidelines compliance reviews
  • Support RLHF-style evaluation, LLM evaluation, and prompt evaluation for robotics copilots and operator tools
  • Curate datasets, mine edge cases, analyze failure modes, and improve training/validation splits
  • Translate robotics requirements into measurable evaluation protocols and scorecards
