Job summary

Rex.zone is seeking a Robotics Engineer to design, implement, and deploy autonomous robotic software remotely in a full-time capacity. You will work across perception, localization, mapping, planning, and control while contributing to data labeling workflows and model evaluation.

The ideal candidate has mid-senior experience shipping robotics software, strong Python and C++ skills, and hands-on ROS/ROS2 plus simulation experience with Gazebo/Isaac/Unity. Remote work is supported.

Qualifications

  • Mid‑Senior experience shipping robotics/autonomy software.
  • Strong Python and C++ skills; Linux proficiency; disciplined debugging and testing.
  • Hands‑on ROS/ROS2 and simulation experience (e.g., Gazebo/Isaac/Unity).
  • Working knowledge of dataset curation, evaluation metrics, and training data quality checks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ROS/ROS2 nodes and robotics middleware components from prototype to production.
  • Integrate and calibrate sensors (cameras, LiDAR, IMU, encoders) and build robust logging/playback tools.
  • Implement and tune sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, and control loops.
  • Validate behavior in simulation and on hardware; create test harnesses and maintain CI practices.
  • Define annotation guidelines and audit labeled datasets (boxes, segmentation, keypoints, cuboids, trajectories).
  • Run QA evaluation for training data quality, compliance, and error analysis; improve model performance and safety.
