Job summary

Consor seeks a Roadway Design Engineer to support transportation projects nationwide in a remote capacity. You will design typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer, and you’ll help prepare plans, reports, and quantity calculations.

You will mentor junior engineers, ensure compliance with codes and practices, perform calculations, and contribute to topographic and ROW data processing.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; GA license is a plus.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Work with design team on design documentation, plans, reports, and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
• Help junior engineers as a mentor to the design process, providing leadership in design tasks and oversight of quality for the projects.
