Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to support transportation improvement projects nationwide. You will design typical sections, alignments, profiles, and cross-sections for local, county, and state highways, and prepare plans and reports with quantity calculations.

The role is remote with occasional travel; requires a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, 4+ years highway design, PE license, and proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum four years of transportation, highway/roadway design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; GA license a plus.
• Proficiency in Microstation and OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Prepare design documentation, plans, and reports with quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect data from topographic surveys and right-of-way for design analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee design quality.
