Job summary

Consor seeks a Roadway Design Engineer to support transportation improvement projects with the design and detailing of roadway and highway systems. The role is remote, supporting high-profile projects across the region and the country, including Design/Build and other delivery methods.

You will develop alignments, plans, and documentation, perform engineering calculations, ensure code compliance, collect survey data, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining design quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equiv.).
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience (highway/roadway design).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; GA license a plus.
• Proficiency in Microstation and Open Roads Designer required.

Responsibilities

• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts and cross-sections.
• Prepare design documentation, plans and reports for tasks and quantity calculations.
• Ensure compliance with codes and engineering practices; perform calculations and estimates.
• Gather data from topographic surveys and right-of-way for design analysis.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee design quality on projects.
