Job summary

Consor is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to support regional and national highway projects with geometric design, detailing, and analysis using Microstation and Open Roads Designer.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, and design documentation, and ensure compliance with codes. The role is remote with possible travel to the main location.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Minimum four years of transportation engineering (Highway/Roadway design) experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license. GA license is a plus.
Proficiency in Microstation, Open Roads Designer software is necessary.
Remote job operates between an office environment and your location; some travel to primary location may be required.

Responsibilities

Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
Work with design team on documentation, plans, reports, and quantity calculations.
Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way for design analysis.
Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership in design tasks and quality oversight.
