Job summary

Affirm is transforming consumer credit with data-driven decisions and transparent practices. As an Analyst I on the Risk & Analytics team, you will learn consumer lending fundamentals while performing scoped analytics to influence approvals, losses, and profitability.

You’ll work with SQL, Python, and AI tools to build scalable reporting and support cross-functional initiatives across the business. You will contribute to monitoring portfolio health, analyze behavior, and help translate

Qualifications

1–3 years in an analytically-driven role; internships valued.
Degree in Data Science, CS, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field.
Strong SQL and Python skills.
Experience with data mining, data visualization, and basic statistical modeling.
Familiarity with consumer lending regulations and ML concepts.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Derive insights and support product, risk, or growth strategies across geographies.
Monitor portfolio health, track performance metrics and alert on risks.
Write clean SQL and Python; partner with Engineering on ML/risk model deployment.
Translate evolving regulations into foundation data models and policies.
Support product launches and market entries with operational alignment.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate data mining and routine tasks.
