Job summary

Affirm is reinventing credit with a focus on transparency and customer experience, offering remote-first roles across the U.S. We seek an Analyst I to learn consumer lending while delivering scoped analytics and influencing portfolio performance.

You will write SQL/Python, build scalable reports, and collaborate with Product, Legal, and Compliance to translate evolving regulations into data models and policies. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in an analytically-driven role with consumer lending or fintech exposure.
• Degree in Data Science, CS, Engineering, Economics or related field.
• Solid SQL and Python skills with data mining & visualization basics.
• Understanding of consumer lending regulations and fairness principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Derive insights to optimize product, risk or growth strategies across geographies.
• Monitor portfolio health by tracking performance, behavior, and macro trends.
• Write clean SQL and Python; partner with Engineering on ML and risk models.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal and Compliance to translate regs into data models.
• Support launches and market entries aligning with capabilities and risk appetite.
• Incorporate AI tools to accelerate data mining and routine tasks.
