Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an experienced Physician Coder for a fully remote role in radiology coding. The position requires CPC and radiology coding experience, with a focus on CT and Ultrasound coding, and adherence to national coding guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have CPC or equivalent certification, strong knowledge of ICD/CPT, and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment with flexible scheduling and available internal resources.

Qualifications

• Active CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA etc certification in good standing
• At least 6 months of professional coding experience
• Ability to work remotely with coding software and EMR systems

Responsibilities

• Code CT, Ultrasounds and other radiology procedures following ICD/CPT guidelines
• Abstract and document diagnoses and procedures in medical records
• Ensure compliance with CMS, CMS edits and coding standards
• Generate daily/monthly reports as assigned
• Work independently with remote supervision and escalate for guidance when needed
