Job summary

Banner Health seeks a motivated Physician Coder with radiology experience for a fully remote role. You will code CT, Ultrasound, and other modalities, with CPC in active status and at least 6 months radiology coding exposure. The position supports a remote team with flexible hours across multiple states.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of ICD/CPT, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with providers to ensure accurate and compliant coding practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or related health care field.
• Active CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-A/RHIA/RHIT certification required.
• Six months of professional coding experience in healthcare.
• Solid understanding of ICD and CPT coding principles.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates medical records and assigns ICD/CPT codes per guidelines.
• Abstracts clinical data and documents essential information in EMR.
• Ensures coding accuracy and compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA standards.
• Compiles routine reports for daily/monthly analysis.
• Works independently in a remote setting with available support.
