Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an experienced Physician Coder specialized in Radiology for a fully remote position. The role requires CPC in active status with radiology coding experience, covering CT and Ultrasound modalities. Remote work is available nationwide with flexible hours and equipment provided.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of coding experience in radiology and will join a supportive, collaborative team with growth opportunities across Banner Health.

Qualifications

• CPC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA/AHIMA or AAPC active certification(s) required.
• 6 months to 1 year of radiology coding experience preferred.
• Remote work experience in coding roles is advantageous.
• Ability to cover Radiology modalities (CT, Ultrasound) coding.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical records and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes per national guidelines.
• Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedures into the EMR and ensure complete documentation.
• Ensure coding quality and compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and internal standards.
• Produce daily/monthly coding reports as required and support auditing activities.
• Collaborate with physicians and coding quality analysts for clarification.
