Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an experienced Physician Coder for a fully remote Radiology coding role. The position requires active CPC (CPC with radiology experience preferred) and at least 6 months of coding in radiology, covering CT, ultrasounds and other modalities.

Flexible hours and access to Banner Health resources are provided. The role emphasizes accurate ICD/CPT coding, adherence to national guidelines, and collaboration with providers to clarify records.

Qualifications

• Requires CPC/CCS or equivalent AHIMA/AAPC certification.
• Minimum 6 months professional coding experience in radiology.
• Remote work experience and ability to code across modalities.

Responsibilities

• Code radiology procedures (CT, Ultrasound, other modalities) per ICD/CPT guidelines.
• Abstract and verify data in EMR and coding systems.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG and HCFA requirements.
