Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an experienced Physician Coder to join the Radiology coding team in a fully remote capacity. Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of coding experience and possess an active CPC certification (or equivalent like CCS/CCS-P/CCA/CPC-A).

The role focuses on radiology codes for CT, ultrasounds and related modalities. Remote work is supported nationwide with flexible hours and access to resources for support and training.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in active status with recent coding work history.
• Minimum six months of professional coding experience, preferably in radiology.
• Ability to code CT, Ultrasounds and all radiology modalities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical records and assign ICD/CPT codes according to national guidelines.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into the EMR and verify complete documentation.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and other regulatory standards.
• Perform daily/monthly reporting as assigned and maintain coding accuracy.
