Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with radiology experience for a fully remote role. The candidate should hold an active CPC credential with substantial coding history, preferably in radiology (CT, Ultrasound, all modalities). The role supports the Radiology group and requires flexibility to work across time zones.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in active status is required or equivalent with CPC-A allowed only if radiology coding experience meets minimum (6 months).
• Minimum six months of radiology coding experience.
• Remote work ability and familiarity with coding guidelines and standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD-CM and CPT codes for radiology procedures per national guidelines.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into the EMR with completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and other regulatory standards.
• Prepare daily/monthly reports as required and maintain quality metrics.
