Qualifications

• Experience as an inside property claims specialist or equivalent in insurance.
• Bachelor's degree in insurance or business or related field.
• Strong knowledge of property claims investigation, valuation, negotiation and settlement.
• Familiar with personal and commercial property products and coverage.
• Ability to investigate claims and reach appropriate settlements.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple claims and monitor service providers.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses, including state exams.
• Experience handling commercial property claims.
• Continuing insurance education through IIA, CPCU or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve property claims for personal and commercial losses.
• Communicate with policyholders via phone and other channels; explain decisions.
• Coordinate with contractors and independent adjusters for field work.
• Support resolution specialists with contents valuation and depreciation holdbacks.
• Follow established procedures for coverage verification, valuation, negotiation and settlement.
• Meet productivity targets for claim elements per month.
• Support catastrophe claims operations across the service territory; travel as needed.
• Collaborate with teams across agents, underwriting, marketing and colleagues.
