Travelers is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Outside Property, to train in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while focusing on 1st party property claims. The role serves the Montgomery County, MD area and is remote with potential office visits and a company vehicle provided.

The program lasts 9–12 months; after completion you’ll handle claims independently and advance in the company’s catastrophe and claims programs. A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn claims management and estimating software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

Responsabilités

• Actively participate in structured training classes on insurance policies, claim processes, systems and procedures.
• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Learn to determine coverage for building damages per policy terms.
• Provide timely and professional communication to customers and stakeholders.
