Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Salisbury, MD seeks an Associate Claim Representative, Outside Property. You will train in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while working alongside experienced claim professionals to manage 1st party property claims.

This remote field role requires license readiness within three months, potential travel, and a company vehicle. You will develop toward full claims handling while delivering excellent insured service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn claims management software.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies and claim processes.
• Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third parties.
• Learn to determine coverage for building damages per policy terms.
• Establish accurate scope of damages for building and contents losses.
• Provide timely communication to customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim systems.
• Adapt to new technology implementations and digital tool rollouts.
