Job summary

Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) seeks a Project Coordinator to support NASA's Earth Science Division, coordinating a communications, outreach, and engagement team. The role is full-time and remote, with occasional hybrid opportunities in the Washington, DC area.

The coordinator will schedule meetings, track milestones, capture notes, maintain project documentation, prepare management reports, and support senior leads across multiple projects within the team’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent.
• PMP certification or comparable work experience.
• 3+ years supporting teams in a project coordinator role.
• Exceptional verbal and written skills.
• Knowledge of file management, transcription, and admin procedures.
• Experience with Office 365 and/or Google Workspace in a shared environment.
• Experience specifying and using project management tools to track deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regular meetings and facilitate information sharing among core project teams and partners.
• Monitor project progress, timelines and milestones; handle issues as they arise.
• Capture minutes, recordings, and action items from meetings.
• Maintain project infrastructure and documentation, including PM software and assets.
• Compile reports for management review and provide organizational redundancy to leads.
• Participate in senior level meetings as appropriate and support team operations.
