Job summary

Bowman Consulting seeks a Project Accountant to join the team remotely, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zones. The role focuses on project cost accounting, reporting, and collaboration with operations and corporate accounting functions to drive timely, accurate financial insights.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA/CMA preferred, 7+ years of project accounting experience (architecture/engineering/construction ideal), and proficiency with Deltek Vantagepoint or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience required.
• CPA/CMA certification preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Prior project accounting experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reports on project cost accounting in adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Act as a liaison between operations and corporate accounting functions (AP, payroll, etc.).
• Aid in review and analysis of key performance metrics to support operations management.
