Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team remotely, preferably in the Central or Eastern time zone. The role focuses on assisting with project cost accounting and reporting, acting as a bridge between operations and corporate accounting functions, and supporting management with performance metrics and audits.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in accounting (CMA/CPA preferred) and 7+ years of project accounting experience, ideally in architecture/engineering/construction,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• CMA or CPA certification preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in architecture/engineering/construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost accounting reports in line with company policies.
• Act as liaison between operations and corporate accounting (AP, payroll, etc).
• Analyze key performance metrics to support operations and identify improvements.
• Identify, research, and resolve project issues promptly.
• Review project cost reports for accuracy and timeliness; support invoicing and collections.
