Job summary

Bowman is seeking a remote Project Accountant to support cost accounting and reporting for projects, preferably in Central or Eastern time zones. You will collaborate with operations and corporate accounting, ensuring timely, accurate project cost reporting and adherence to policies.

The role requires extensive project accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and ERP/Deltek Vantagepoint proficiency. Relevant CPA/CMA credentials are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• CMA or CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Seven or more years of corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint preferred, ERP system experience required.
• Must have AP full cycle exposure.
• Mergers and acquisitions experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost accounting and reporting in accordance with company policies.
• Serve as liaison between operations and corporate accounting functions (AP, payroll, etc.).
• Review and analyze key performance metrics to support operations and identify improvements.
• Identify, research, and resolve project issues.
• Reconcile project cost reports for timely and accurate reporting.
• Assist in client budgets, consultant budgets, scope, pricing, and change orders.
