Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant to support project cost accounting and reporting for the organization, with remote work preferred in the Central or Eastern time zone in the United States. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to collaborate across operations and accounting functions.

You will assist in budgeting, invoicing, and collections, coordinating with project managers and regional teams to ensure accurate project setups and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience required.
• CMA or CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Seven or more (7+) years of corporate project accounting experience preferred.
• Prior project accounting experience within the architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint preferred, experience with an ERP system required.
• Must have AP full cycle exposure.
• Previous experience with mergers and acquisitions a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost accounting and reporting.
• Reconcile and analyze project cost reports to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Assist the Regional Controller to provide various account reports and collections as needed.
• Help coordinate other project billers and project managers in the region to ensure accuracy of project setups and adherence to procedures.
• Update and maintain client budgets, consultant budgets, scope, pricing, change orders, and provide evaluation and reporting.
• Assist in tracking project and business operating performance.
• Aid in management of monthly invoicing process for projects.
• Review vendor and subcontractor invoices.
