Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Program Manager to support volunteer engagement across SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments. This fully remote role can be located anywhere in the USA and serves as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio, collaborating with program managers and stakeholders to engage volunteers in support of mission objectives.

The role provides consultation, coordination, and operational support, including workforce needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to create presentations and develop training modules.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop project plans, budgets, and strategy to meet goals.
• Analytical and decision-making skills for program improvements.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Travel: minimal travel (2-3 in-person meetings per year).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments.
• Build and maintain relationships with program managers, department stakeholders, Volunteer Services teams, and cross-functional partners.
• Consult with departments to identify workforce needs and recruitment strategies.
• Support departments in implementing recruitment plans, promoting opportunities, and navigating volunteer processes.
• Coordinate communications, meetings, briefings, and stakeholder updates.
• Manage and support Volunteer Connection activities, including position management and reporting.
• Provide guidance on volunteer workforce policies and best practices.
• Support volunteer leaders and teams that sustain enterprise positions.
• Pull, analyze, and interpret volunteer workforce data to support decisions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and leadership updates.
• Monitor workforce trends, vacancies, recruitment activity, and engagement metrics.
• Partner with stakeholders to address challenges and improve utilization.
• Support enterprise initiatives and priorities.
