Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a professional Program Manager to support volunteer workforce engagement across SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments. This fully remote role can be located anywhere in the USA and partners with program managers, business leads, and stakeholders to engage volunteers in alignment with mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to create presentations and develop training modules.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve organizational goals.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Travel: 2-3 in-person meetings per year.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for an assigned portfolio of SAF/ISD and Corporate Departments.
• Build and maintain relationships with program managers, department stakeholders, Volunteer Services teams, and cross-functional partners.
• Consult with departments to identify workforce needs and recruitment strategies for volunteers.
• Support departments in implementing recruitment plans and navigating volunteer processes.
• Coordinate communications, meetings, briefings, and stakeholder updates.
• Manage Volunteer Connection activities including position management, reporting, and workflows.
• Provide guidance on volunteer workforce policies and best practices.
• Support volunteer leaders and teams to sustain enterprise and global positions.
• Analyze volunteer workforce data to support decision-making.
• Create reports, dashboards, and leadership updates.
• Monitor workforce trends and recruitment activity across departments.
• Partner with stakeholders to address challenges and improve volunteer utilization.
