Job summary

Hospitable.com is seeking a Core & Connectivity Product Engineer to maintain momentum and stability of our core platform and OTA connectivity. You will dive into our foundational codebase to develop features, improve stability, and ensure reliable partner integrations for thousands of customers.

The role is remote-first; the ideal candidate has 3+ years backend experience, Laravel and PHP 7+, MySQL, and a focus on testable, customer‑value code.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a backend focus.
• Significant experience with Laravel, PHP 7+, MySQL, and testing pipelines in deployed web apps.
• Strong emphasis on testable, maintainable code and delivering customer value.
• Excellent written communication for a remote-first team.
• Experience with queue/backends is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deeply understand and extend the core platform and partner connectivity.
• Implement and maintain integrations with OTA connections and future partners.
• Ship new core platform features from 0→1 and iterate based on feedback.
• Collaborate with product, sales, customer success, and engineers to solve the right problems.
• Work within a Kubernetes-backed IaC stack and improve observability and performance.
