Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong .NET (C#) background and PHP/Laravel experience. This remote US role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for a mature SaaS platform and supporting a stack across both technologies.

You will mentor teammates, participate in architecture discussions, and ensure scalable, high-quality code while collaborating with Product, QA, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with .NET (C#).
• Hands-on experience with PHP/Laravel.
• Experience with React or Angular.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Ability to balance technical debt with business priorities.
• Comfortable working independently in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in a SaaS environment.
• Build features primarily using .NET (C#) while supporting PHP/Laravel applications.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and business logic.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver new functionality.
• Translate requirements into production-quality code through reviews and implementation.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers to improve engineering practices.
