Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and Subject Matter Expert to drive complex payroll tax cases, own SOPs and knowledge-base articles, and coach the PTO team for capability building.

The role is remote, part-time with 20–40 hours per week and eligibility for overtime. You will oversee escalations, manage WIP, and ensure compliance across US jurisdictions while continually improving team processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution and multi-state filings.
• Experience as lead/senior specialist or SME with coaching or training junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of US tax regulations, including local/state programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff and teach resolution paths.
• Author, review, and approve SOPs and KB articles across core operations.
