Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Lead Tax Processor and SME for Payroll Tax Operations. You will own the most complex payroll tax escalations and govern SOPs and knowledge base content, while coaching team members and driving process improvements.

The role focuses on cross-state tax filings, audit-ready workstreams, and high-stakes issue resolution, with flexible, remote-friendly scheduling and overtime eligibility as an hourly role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience focused on complex tax defect resolution and multi-state filings.
• Experience as a lead, senior specialist, or SME with coaching or training junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of tax regulations across US jurisdictions; familiarity with PA/OH municipal taxes and PFML/SDI programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary real-time technical expert for TP1/TP2/TP3 staff and teach resolution paths.
• Author, review, and approve SOPs and KB articles across core operations.
• Conduct formal coaching sessions at least quarterly to close skill gaps.
