Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage bi-weekly payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt employees using Ceridian/Dayforce. You will partner with managers to ensure hours are accurate and tax compliance is maintained across multiple states.

In this fully remote role, you will maintain 401k deferrals, employer matches, and wage garnishments while upholding strict confidentiality and supporting audit activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with garnishments, levies, liens, support orders, and subpoenas.
• Excel and analytical reporting proficiency.
• Must pass background checks and comply with vaccination policy.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce bi-weekly for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Coordinate with managers to ensure hours are submitted accurately and approved timely.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and 401k loans in the payroll system.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data and garnishments.
• Process off-cycle payrolls as needed.
• Ensure tax compliance and year-end reporting (W-2, 401k census).
• Generate payroll analytics prior to funding and collaborate with HR/FP&A.
• Create and maintain payroll SOPs and support audits.
• Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related questions and issues.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and other duties as assigned.
