Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a skilled Accountant, Payroll for a fully remote role spanning multiple states. You will process payroll bi-weekly via Ceridian/Dayforce, ensure accurate hours, 401(k) deferrals, and garnishments, and support AP duties as needed.

You will collaborate with HR and FP&A to optimize payroll configurations, prepare tax reports, and contribute to quarterly/year-end audits. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in payroll and strong Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 2–3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.
• Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices for payment and manage AP duties.
• Prepare and submit accurate payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce for all employees bi-weekly.
• Ensure hours, deferrals and 401(k) details are accurately updated.
• Handle garnishments, tax levies, and related paperwork.
• Support quarterly and year-end audits related to payroll and accounting.
• Maintain procedures and assist with ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.
