Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking an Accountant, Payroll to manage timely payroll processing for employees across multiple states using Ceridian/Dayforce. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with HR and FP&A to optimize payroll configurations.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of payroll tax compliance, garnishments, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Previous experience with all types of garnishments, levies, liens, support orders, and subpoenas.
• Familiarity with benefits rules and regulations.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.
• Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate payroll processing using Ceridian/Dayforce for exempt and non-exempt employees on a bi-weekly basis.
• Ensure hours submitted and approved timely; resolve discrepancies with employees/managers.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and loans; verify 401k data.
• Set up garnishments and tax levies; complete required paperwork.
• Process off-cycle payrolls as needed; ensure tax compliance and year-end reporting.
