Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage timely payroll processing across multi-state operations using Ceridian/Dayforce. The role includes tax reporting, garnishments, and assisting Accounts Payable while upholding strict compliance and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication. This remote position supports many U.S. states and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Experience with garnishments, levies, liens, and subpoenas.
• Familiarity with benefits rules and regulations.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.
• Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Company has a mandatory vaccination policy and background checks required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce on a bi-weekly basis.
• Ensure hours are submitted accurately and approved on time.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and loans in payroll system.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data for timely submissions.
• Set up garnishment and tax levy calculations as required.
• Process off-cycle payrolls as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Perform year-end reporting related to W-2 and 401K census.
• Create and maintain payroll procedures and establish policies.
• Assist with audits related to payroll and accounting inquiries.
