Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage timely payroll processing across multiple states using Ceridian/Dayforce. You will file tax reports, manage garnishments, and support accounts payable tasks as needed.

The role requires 2–3 years of payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of multi-state compliance. We offer remote work across designated states, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with garnishments, levies, liens, support orders, and subpoenas.
• Excel proficiency and analytical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce for exempt and non-exempt staff.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure hours are submitted and approved on time.
• Update employee records related to 401k deferrals, employer match, and 401k loans in the payroll system.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data to ensure timely submissions.
• Set up correct garnishment and tax levy calculations as required; complete required paperwork.
• Process off-cycle payrolls as needed
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws including final pay rules and municipality tax setups
• Process year-end reporting related to W-2 and 401K census
• Generate payroll analytics prior to funding and assist audits
• Serve as point of contact for payroll-related questions
• Research, analyze, and resolve payroll issues with team
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Perform other duties as assigned
