Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Payroll Accountant to handle bi-weekly payroll processing for exempt and non-exempt staff on Ceridian/Dayforce. You will ensure tax compliance, 401k deferrals, garnishments, and year-end reporting, while collaborating with HR and FP&A.

This is a fully remote role open to numerous states; you will protect confidential payroll data, maintain SOPs, and support audits. Strong Excel skills and multi-state experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• 2–3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with garnishments, levies, liens, and subpoenas.
• Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce for exempt and non-exempt staff.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure hours are accurate and approved.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and 401k loans in payroll system.
• Handle garnishments and tax levies; complete required paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local payroll tax laws and year-end reporting.
• Support Accounts Payable and audits; maintain SOPs and policies.
