Connections Health Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant, Payroll for a fully remote role. You will handle bi-weekly payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce, manage 401k deferrals, and ensure tax compliance across multiple states.

The role includes supporting accounts payable duties during peak periods and contributing to audits. A Bachelor’s in Accounting and 2–3 years of payroll experience are expected; strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.
• Mandatory vaccination policy and background checks per policy.
• Experience with AP functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate payroll processing using Ceridian/Dayforce for all employees on a bi-weekly basis.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and loans in the payroll system.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data for timely submissions.
• Set up garnishments and tax levies; process off-cycle payrolls as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and final pay rules.
• Create payroll analytics prior to funding to ensure accuracy.
• Partner with HR, FP&A, and third parties to optimize payroll configurations.
• Develop and maintain payroll SOPs and support audits.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and complete balance sheet reconciliations.
