Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking an Accountant, Payroll to manage bi-weekly payroll processing, tax reporting, and related accounts payable support on a fully remote basis across listed states.

You will ensure accurate payroll for exempt and non-exempt staff using Ceridian/Dayforce, handle deductions, 401k contributions, garnishments, and year-end reporting, while maintaining strong internal controls and collaboration with HR and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Experience with garnishments, levies, liens, support orders, and subpoenas.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Ensure hours submitted and approved; resolve discrepancies with managers.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and 401k loans in payroll system.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data to ensure timely submissions.
• Set up garnishment and tax levy calculations as required; complete paperwork.
• Process off-cycle payrolls as needed; year-end reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with HR, FP&A, and vendors to optimize payroll configurations.
• Create and maintain payroll SOPs and general accounting procedures.
• Assist with audits related to payroll and accounting inquiries.
• Answer payroll-related questions and provide timely support.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
