Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage timely payroll processing and related records for a fully remote position across listed states. You will handle tax reports, garnishments, and 1099 support while assisting accounts payable during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2–3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with garnishments, levies, liens, support orders, and subpoenas.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce for exempt and non-exempt employees on a bi-weekly basis.
• Ensure hours are submitted/approved timely; resolve discrepancies with employees/managers.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and loans in payroll system; process 401k census data.
