Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is a leading provider of immediate-access behavioral health crisis care. The Accountant, Payroll role supports this mission by ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing across a multi-state environment in a fully remote position.

This role handles payroll for exempt and non-exempt staff bi-weekly using Ceridian/Dayforce, maintains 401k deferrals, garnishments, and tax compliance, and collaborates with HR/FP&A to optimize payroll systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
• Experience with Ceridian/Dayforce payroll system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate payroll processing using Ceridian/Dayforce on a bi-weekly basis.
• Update employee records related to 401k deferrals, employer match, and 401k loans.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data for timely submissions.
• Set up garnishment and tax levy calculations and handle off-cycle payrolls.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws.
• Generate payroll analytics prior to payroll funding and collaborate with HR/FP&A.
• Create and maintain payroll SOPs and assist audits.
• Serve as the point of contact for payroll questions.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations as assigned.
