Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage timely processing of company payrolls and related tax reporting. This fully remote role supports multiple states, including Florida, with a focus on accurate data and compliance.

The position requires 2–3 years of payroll experience, proficiency in Ceridian/Dayforce, and strong Excel skills, along with the ability to collaborate with HR and finance teams to optimize payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Experience with garnishments, levies, liens, support orders, and subpoenas.
• Familiarity with benefits rules and regulations.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees using Ceridian/Dayforce.
• Ensure employee hours are submitted and approved; resolve discrepancies with managers.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and 401k loans; verify and process 401k data.
• Set up garnishment and tax levy calculations; complete required paperwork.
• Process off-cycle payrolls and year-end reporting (W2, 401K census).
• Generate payroll analytics for funding; coordinate with HR, FP&A, and third parties.
• Create and maintain payroll procedures and SOPs; assist audits.
