Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Payroll Accountant to manage multi-state payroll processing and related tax reporting. You will utilize Ceridian/Dayforce to process bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt staff, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions.

You’ll work with HR and FP&A to optimize payroll configurations, update benefits data, and support quarterly/year-end audits. This role is fully remote for a broad U.S. footprint, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field is required.
• 2–3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Familiarity with garnishments, levies, liens, and subpoenas.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.
• Must comply with vaccination policy and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate payroll processing using Ceridian/Dayforce for exempt and non-exempt employees bi-weekly.
• Collaborate with managers to ensure hours are submitted and approved timely.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and loans in the payroll system.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data for timely submissions.
• Set up garnishments and tax levy calculations and complete required paperwork.
• Process off-cycle payrolls and ensure tax compliance at federal/state/local levels.
• Generate payroll analytics and support audits; act as payroll contact.
