Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is a leading behavioral health crisis care provider seeking an experienced Accountant, Payroll for a fully remote role in the United States. Responsibilities span payroll processing, tax compliance, and AP support, with multi-state exposure and Ceridian/Dayforce expertise.

The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and collaboration with HR, FP&A, and vendors. Required is a Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field with several years of payroll experience;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience running payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Strong background in payroll tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and analytical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices for payment, including matching to PO/contracts and coding to GL accounts.
• Assist with new vendor setup and maintenance, including W-9 collection and 1099 reporting support.
• Assist with monthly AP reconciliations and aging reports.
• Provide backup coverage to AP team during peak periods or absences.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and financial information.
• Prepare and submit payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce for bi-weekly payroll.
• Update 401k deferrals, employer match, and 401k loans in payroll system.
• Verify and process 401k payroll data for timely submissions.
• Set up garnishments and tax levies; process off-cycle payrolls as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll taxes and final pay rules.
