Oak Street Health is seeking a Remote Contact Center Service Advocate I to support patients by scheduling appointments and handling inquiries with care. You will work in a 40-hour weekly schedule, including some weekend shifts, in a remote setting and collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations.

You’ll enter patient data accurately, confirm details, and follow up to remind patients of upcoming visits. A friendly, professional phone demeanor and reliable internet are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience; call center experience preferred.
• Strong communication and phone etiquette for patient interactions.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Basic Excel skills and EMR documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls to schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
• Provide courteous, professional service and address patient inquiries.
• Enter patient information and appointment details accurately in the system.
• Communicate appointment details and instructions clearly to patients.
• Address scheduling conflicts and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth scheduling operations.
• Conduct follow-up calls to confirm appointments and provide reminders.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions with patients.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
