Job summary

CVS Health in Michigan is hiring an Inbound Patient Account Services Specialist to advocate for patients and deliver outstanding service throughout the billing journey. You will resolve questions, guide patients through reimbursement processes, and document interactions in the Revenue Cycle system in a collaborative team environment.

The role requires 6 months of healthcare billing experience, proficiency with Word/Outlook/Excel, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, collections practices, and/or infusion services.
• Experience with computers, including 1+ years working with Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Effective written and verbal customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Ability to offer emotional support and empathy.
• Flexibility with work schedule to meet business needs, including 8-hour shifts from 8:00am–8:00pm EST.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of CVS Specialty processes and patient journey from order to reimbursement.
• Help patients navigate billing and reimbursement processes for timely billing and reimbursement.
• Build trusting relationships with patients through meaningful conversations.
• Manage difficult or emotional situations with empathy and urgency.
• Document each interaction accurately in the Revenue Cycle system.
• Record and follow up on patient concerns to resolution.
• Determine eligibility for payment plans.
• Meet call center metrics like call volume and call quality.
• Liaise with other CVS Specialty departments using technology.
• Maintain outgoing, professional presence over the phone.
