Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Inbound Patient Account Services Specialist to advocate for patients and resolve billing questions with empathy. You will support patients through the reimbursement journey and document interactions in the Revenue Cycle system.

The role emphasizes teamwork, effective communication, and a patient‑centered approach while working a full‑time schedule within standard 8:00am–8:00pm EST shifts.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, collections practices, and/or infusion services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Effective written and verbal customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of CVS Specialty processes and how customer service impacts a patient’s journey from order to reimbursement.
• Help patients navigate complex billing and reimbursement processes for timely billing and reimbursement.
• Build trusting relationships with patients through meaningful conversations.
• Manage difficult or emotional situations with empathy and urgency.
• Document each interaction in the Revenue Cycle system accurately.
• Record and follow up on patient concerns to resolution.
• Assess eligibility for payment plans based on patient information.
• Meet call center metrics including call volume and quality.
• Coordinate with other CVS Specialty departments via technology.
• Maintain a professional and caring presence over the telephone.
