Job summary

CVS Health in Michigan is seeking an Inbound Patient Account Services Specialist to advocate for patients, resolve billing questions, and guide patients toward faster reimbursement. You will deliver high-quality customer service and document interactions in the Revenue Cycle system, collaborating with CVS Specialty and other departments to support the patient journey.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, collections practices, or infusion services.
• Effective written and verbal customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Ability to offer emotional support and empathy.
• Flexibility with work schedule including 8-hour shifts 8:00am–8:00pm EST (Mon–Fri).

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of CVS Specialty processes and how customer service impacts a patient’s journey from order to reimbursement.
• Help patients navigate complex billing and reimbursement processes to ensure efficient billing and reimbursement for services.
• Build a trusting relationship with patients through meaningful conversation.
• Manage difficult or emotional situations, respond promptly to patient needs, and show empathy with urgency.
• Document each interaction in the Revenue Cycle system.
• Record, review, and take next steps to follow-up and resolve patient concerns.
• Gather and examine patient information to determine eligibility for payment plans.
• Meet call center metrics including call volume and call quality.
• Use technology to liaise with other CVS Specialty departments.
• Demonstrate an outgoing, enthusiastic, professional, and caring presence over the telephone.
