Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Inbound Patient Account Services Specialist to advocate for patients and provide high-level customer service. You will resolve billing questions and report trends to Leadership for review, supporting patients on their path to better health.

Key responsibilities include navigating CVS Specialty processes, handling billing and reimbursement complexities, and maintaining empathetic communication while documenting interactions in the Revenue Cycle system.

Qualifications

• 6 months of healthcare billing, reimbursement, or infusion services.
• Proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to provide emotional support and empathy.
• Flexible schedule including 8:00am–8:00pm EST, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of CVS Specialty processes and learn how customer service impacts a patient’s journey from order to reimbursement for services.
• Help patients navigate complex billing and reimbursement processes to assure efficient and timely billing and reimbursement for services.
• Build a trusting relationship with patients by engaging in meaningful and relevant conversation.
• Manage difficult or emotional situations, responding promptly to patient needs, and demonstrating empathy and a sense of urgency when appropriate.
• Document each interaction in the Revenue Cycle system clearly and consistently.
• Record, review, and take next steps to follow-up and resolve patient concerns.
• Gather and examine patient information to determine eligibility for payment plans.
• Meet call center metrics that include call volume and call quality.
• Use technology to liaise with other departments across CVS Specialty.
• Demonstrate an outgoing, enthusiastic, professional, and caring presence over the telephone.
