Job summary

Initio Capital is seeking a part-time Business Development Representative for our Workforce Solutions efforts in New York. You will work with a company-provided lead list, calling founders and business owners to qualify needs in payroll, workforce management, and back-office platforms, and move opportunities to the next step.

You should have prior BDR/SDR experience in payroll or HR software, comfortable calling business owners, and a disciplined CRM follow-through.

Qualifications

Experience selling payroll, HR, employer services, workforce management, or integrated back-office software.
Confidence calling business owners and explaining practical product benefits.
Disciplined outbound calling, discovery, qualification, and CRM follow-through.
Willingness to commit to part-time calling blocks during business hours.
Quiet calling environment and reliable internet connection.
Ability to take on outside work without conflicts of interest.

Responsibilities

Work a company-provided lead list of newly formed businesses.
Make outbound calls to founders and business owners to identify fit and timing.
Ask discovery questions about payroll, workforce platforms and document needs.
Arrange a qualified next step with providers or internal teams.
Maintain CRM records, call outcomes, objections, pipeline stages, and follow-up dates.
Use approved messaging and outreach tools, and respect opt-outs.
Share objections and feedback to improve targeting and qualification.
